Another familiar face is returning for Prison Break's forthcoming revival.

Paul Adelstein has signed on to reprise his role as Paul Kellerman in the event series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Adelstein was a series regular for the first two seasons of the Fox drama, and returned briefly at the end of season four. His character was introduced as a Secret Secret agent working under the Vice President who was tasked with making sure that the execution of Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) went smoothly.

Adelstein joins several returning castmembers including Purcell, Wentworth Miller as Michael, Sarah Wayne Callies as Sara, Robert Knepper as T-Bag, Rockmond Dunbar as C-Note and Amaury Nolasco as Fernando Sucre.

The new episodes pick up after Michael's apparent death, now that Sara has moved on with her life, raising her and Michael’s child with her new husband (Mark Feuerstein). However, when clues surface suggesting that Michael may be alive, Sara and Lincoln team up to engineer the series’ biggest escape ever, as three of Fox River State Penitentiary’s most notorious escapees — T-Bag, C-Note and Sucre — are pulled back into the action.

Original showrunner Paul T. Scheuring will pen the script and executive produce the Prison Break revival along with Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein (no relation) and Dawn Olmstead

Prison Break will return during the 2016-17 broadcast season, but a specific date has yet to be determined.

Adelstein's other credits include Scandal, Private Practice and Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce, among others. He is repped by Gersh, Principal Entertainment and Gang, Tyre.
