Don't worry — Stephen Colbert didn't watch Sunday's Oscars all the way through either.

As with the Super Bowl, the Late Show host preferred to flip to a puppy version of the day's big event, he noted on Monday's episode. But since there's no official "Puppy Oscars," he created his own.

Kicking off with a red carpet — in which things got catty, despite it being a dog event, the host joked — Colbert's Puppy Oscars also featured a re-creation of the best actor race, including Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant, Matt Damon in The Martian and Tom Hardy in Mad Max: Fury Road. In this version, DiCaprio doesn't take the top prize.

All the dogs featured in the clip are available for adoption at AnimalLeague.org
