Reggie Watts Set as James Corden's 'Late Late' Band Leader
CBS is getting ready for the new Late Late Show. Though James Corden doesn't assume the hosting gig until Mar. 23, the multihyphenate's show has filled out much of its staff and found a bandleader in Reggie Watts.
The musically inclined comedian and Comedy Bang! Bang! star will serve as Corden's onstage sidekick as the bandleader of the new Late Late Show. Watts is no stranger to Late Night. He makes regular appearances on Conan, and Bang! Bang! is IFC's own alt-comedy take on a talk show. (He also composed the theme music to Comedy Central's Key and Peele.)
Following the additions of Ben Winston as showrunner and Nick Bernstein as CBS' new West Coast late night vp, the network has further rounded out the production staff with the addition of Rob Crabbe (The Tonight Show) as executive producer, Mike Gibbons (Tosh.0) as co-executive producer and head writer, Sheila Rogers (Late Show) as supervising producer and Josie Cliff (One Night With Robbie Williams) as producer.

Gibbons' late-night writing roots go deep: The co-creator and executive producer of Daniel Tosh's successful Comedy Central series previously worked at the Late Late Show more than a decade ago as head writer during Craig Kilborn's tenure as host. He won an Emmy for his work as supervising producer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Watts is repped by CAA.
