Robert De Niro Sits Down with Jimmy Kimmel’s Sidekick (Video)

Robert De Niro is an infamously difficult interview, according to some.  He has a reputation for giving short answers, which give little room for the reporters.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, correspondent Guillermo got to sit down for an exclusive interview with the actor. Instead of struggling with the actor, Guillermo took over the interview, which took place at the Toronto Film Festival. Of course, he wears a red mountie outfit for the hard-hitting interview.

Guillermo showed a clip from Killer Elite, the upcoming action film in which De Niro stars as a retired member of Britain's apecial forces who is captured.

“Mr. Robert De Niro, you scare me in that movie. I like you better in that other movie. The Fockers movie,” says Guillermo.

His phone then rings, and Guillermo picks it up. It’s his mom.

He hands the phone over to Robert De Niro so he can talk to his mother about tamales. Guillermo then gets a couple hugs with the actor.

De Niro doesn’t do much talking about his role in the film, which will open in theaters on September 23. The film co-stars Jason Statham and Clive Owen. The Open Roads Film is directed by Gary McKendry and is based on Sir Ranulph Fiennes' fiction novel The Feather Men.

“I like you a lot Mr. Robert De Niro. You’re a good guy,” Guillermo says.
