The producer scores his ninth "Tony for Death of a Salesman" (best play revival), his second major honor in a row after last year's win for "The Book of Mormon."

Weeks after signing a lucrative three-year deal with Fox Networks Group, Scott Rudin is already hard at work on potential new series.

The Oscar-winning producer is developing a new limited series for National Geographic Channel about the events that led to the Chernobyl disaster, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The project is based on the forthcoming book The Invisible Enemy: The Untold Story of the Battle of Chernobyl written by Adam Higgenbotham. Producer Garrett Basch is also involved following reports that he was in talks to run Rudin's TV division.

Rudin's three-year first-look deal covers Fox Broadcasting, FX Networks and NatGeo. As part of the pact, Rudin's projects for NatGeo and FX Networks will be produced by FX Productions.

Rudin is repped by WME and attorney Melanie Cook.
