Showtime's Shameless is bringing back another ghost from Frank's past.

The John Wells drama has enlisted Weird Science alum Kelly Le Brock for a recurring role in season six, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Le Brock will play Queenie, an earthy, sensual, flamboyant and joyous woman who had a brief encounter with Frank (William H. Macy) on top of a washing machine when both were high on mushrooms at 16. The encounter produced a now-adult daughter — Sammi (Emily Bergl). Queenie is described as a force of nature, a grandmother many times over — she never believed in contraception — who loves to be naked (clothing is always optional), grows organic vegetables, has lived on a commune for years — and while she claims to be an organic farmer, makes her real living off of a massive pot-growing operation.

Last season ended with Sammi shooting Mickey, with Wells previously telling THR that he was unclear what the character's future was. "We like her, but we also felt like we had started to play it with too many of the same beats," Wells said. "If there's something else we can do that's interesting, we love Emily; she was a big part of my [TNT drama] Southland, too. But we haven't quite figured it out yet. it's complicated because we also really enjoyed writing for [Kellen Michael], who plays [her son] Chuckie. He's just flat-out funny in everything we threw at him."

Season six picks up a few months after the finale and will follow the Gallaghers continuing to adjust to change. Le Brock joins a season six cast that also includes new addition Ever Carradine, who will have a four-episode arc as Erica, a mother with terminal cancer — and a secret wild past.

Shameless returns Sunday, Jan. 17, at 9 p.m. on Showtime.

Le Brock is repped by Abrams Artists Agency.
