Lone Star may not have lasted past two episodes, but its star James Wolk will be back on the small screen.

Wolk has landed a multi-episode arc on the upcoming season of Showtime's hourlong drama Shameless. He will play Adam, an investment executive who makes a connection with Fiona (Emmy Rossum).

Wolk, who last appeared in You Again and was a lead in the ABC pilot Georgetown, is repped by Scott Henderson at WME.

Fox's Lone Star, which centered on a man (Wolk) living a double life, was canceled after two low-rated episodes even though it was critically lauded. Several members of the Lone Star team have since gotten new gigs: creator Kyle Killen is working on NBC's midseason entry Awake, Eloise Mumford was cast in new ABC series The River and Mark Deklin in G.C.B. (formerly Good Christian Belles), also on ABC.
