Showtime's 'Homeland' Ups Intrigue With New Trailer

The Claire Danes CIA thriller will bow in the fall.

Showtime premiered a second trailer for its upcoming homeland security drama Homeland on Sunday following the season finale of The Borgias.

Claire Danes stars as a CIA agent investigating the circumstances of the rescue of a U.S. soldier (Damian Lewis) missing in Iraq and presumed dead. Mandy Patinkin co-stars as a veteran CIA division chief and Danes’ superior officer.

Dexter’s Chip Johannessen, 24’s Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa are on board as writer-producers alongside Gideon Raff, who created the Israeli series Prisoners of War on which Homeland is based. Michael Cuesta (CBS’ Blue Bloods) directed the pilot and will executive produce.

The drama is set to premiere in the fall.
