MTV is set to start filming a fourth season of Siesta Key — away from the show's titular Florida location.

The ViacomCBS cable network has picked up a fourth season of the unscripted series, which follows a group of friends, their lives and various entanglements in and around Siesta Key and Sarasota, Florida. Juliette Potter, Madisson Hausburg, Kelsey Owens, Chloe Trautman, Brandon Gomes, Amanda Miller and Garrett Miller are set to return to the series.

The renewal comes not quite three months after the show's third season concluded on MTV (filming on which was done before the coronavirus pandemic, save for a reunion special). Production on season four is scheduled to begin next week in Sarasota, but the cast and crew will also spend time at an "international private resort" in the coming weeks. The show will essentially take over the resort so that the cast and crew can remain in a quarantine bubble, similar to how the current season of The Bachelorette was filmed.

Entertainment One Reality Productions, which produces the series, says it will follow all local, state and federal COVID-19 safety guidelines during filming.

Tara Long executive produces for eOne. Mark Ford and Kevin Lopez of Creature Films (MTV's Laguna Beach) also exec produce, as do Tom Danon, Elizabeth Jones, Gary Kompothecras and Warren Skeels. Daniel Blau Rogge and Jennifer Aguirre executive produce for MTV.
