'The Simpsons' Mock Donald Trump's Presidential Woes in Season 27 Promo

The Simpsons Trump - H 2015

The Simpsons is sending Homer on a "Trumptastic Voyage."

A promo for season 27 shows Homer attending Donald Trump's campaign launch and being paid $50 to cheer him on amid a crowd holding "paid" signs. Soon he's sucked inside Trump's hair, where he has fanciful visions a la the 1966 sci-fi film Fantastic Voyage. There's also references to Trump being dropped by NBC and Macy's — part of the fallout from anti-Latino comments he made during his presidential announcement speech on June 16.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news last month that the Trump campaign offered actors $50 to cheer for him at his campaign launch.

According to Simpsons showrunner Al Jean, the team used audio of Trump's actual speech, tweeting "You can do that when they're running for president."

The Simpsons returns to Fox on Sept. 27.
