'Sons of Anarchy': Peter Weller to Appear in Season 6 (Exclusive)

Peter Weller will step out from behind the camera in the upcoming season of Sons of Anarchy.

Weller will have a role in the upcoming sixth season of the hit FX biker drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

He'll play a ruthless ex-cop who is a boss at the Stockton port and has a run-in with the SAMCRO motorcycle club.

Weller directed five episodes of Sons of Anarchy during seasons four and five, as well as the second episode of season six. His previous directing credits include Hawaii Five-0 and Monk.

Weller's acting credits include Star Trek Into Darkness, 1987's Robocop and 1984's The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension.

The sixth season of Sons of Anarchy, starring Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman, will see the California motorcycle club dealing with Jax's (Hunnam) wife Tara (Maggie Siff) and step-father Clay (Perlman) being in jail, while the club remains in a state of upheaval.

Sons of Anarchy's sixth season will premiere Sept. 10 at 10 p.m. on FX.
