'Star Trek: Discovery' Official Trailer Unveiled

Fans are finally getting a glimpse at Star Trek: Discovery.

CBS All Access unveiled the first trailer for the long-delayed and highly anticipated reboot as part of CBS' upfront presentation Wednesday in New York.

During the presentation, CBS Interactive president Marc DeBevoise announced that the episode order has been upped to 15 episodes for season one. The first episode will premiere on the linear CBS channel this fall with all subsequent episodes streaming exclusively on CBS All Access.

Additionally, the streaming platform will launch an aftershow, Talking Trek.

Star and The Walking Dead grad Sonequa Martin-Green appeared at CBS' upfront to present the trailer, and was followed by Late, Late Show host James Corden, who came dressed in his Vulcan finest.

Ordered to series in November 2015, Star Trek: Discovery revolves around the USS Discovery and introduces new characters seeking new worlds and civilizations while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation of dreamers and doers.

The series also stars Jason Isaacs as Lorca, the captain of the Starship Discovery; Rainn Wilson will play Harry Mudd, the charismatic conman and intergalactic criminal; Doug Jones plays science officer SaruAnthony Rapp is set as fellow science officer StametsJames Frain plays Sarek, a Vulcan astrophysicist and Spock's father; with Michelle Yeoh set to recur as Georgiu, captain of another ship called the Shenzhou.

From exec producers Alex Kurtzman, Bryan Fuller, Heather Kadin, Gretchen J. Berg & Aaron Harberts, Akiva Goldsman, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth, Star Trek: Discovery marks CBS All Access' second original scripted series, following The Good Wife spinoff The Good Fight. CBS Television Studios produces the series.
