CBS used its time in front of Madison Avenue ad buyers Wednesday to unveil a new look at its upcoming Star Trek series for digital platform CBS All Access.

Set to launch in January with a premiere on CBS before moving exclusively to CBS All Access, CBS' new Star Trek was picked up picked up straight to series and hails from prolific producer Alex Kurtzman. The project is a new take on the beloved sci-fi classic, with the network using its upfront presentation to tout that the show will feature new crews, villains, heroes and worlds. Hannibal's Bryan Fuller — a lifelong Star Trek fan — will serve as showrunner.

The series marks the first pickup for CBS All Access, with the network also confirming its Good Wife spinoff for the platform on Wednesday.
