Steve Martin and Martin Short are bringing their current stand-up musical tour to Netflix.

The streaming giant, which continues its aggressive comedy spending, has teamed with the duo for a new comedy special based on their current tour. Martin made the announcement Tuesday on social media with a short video for the special. Watch that, below.

Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life — yes, that's the name of the special — will bow globally this year on Netflix. The special was taped Friday at the Peace Center in Greenville, S.C., during Short's and Martin's current national tour. It features the duo — friends for more than three decades and former Saturday Night Live and Three Amigos co-stars — performing new material presented in a variety of musical sketches and conversations about their iconic careers, their most memorable encounters and their legendary lives in showbiz and stand-up. The special features music from Grammy-winning bluegrass band the Steep Canyon Rangers and jazz pianist/Jimmy Kimmel Live! band member Jeff Babko. The special was directed by Marcus Raboy and executive produced by Martin, Short, Saturday Night Live mastermind Lorne Michaels, Erin David and Marc Gurvitz.

The Martin and Short comedy special marks Netflix's latest foray in the stand-up space where the streamer has been aggressively spending for specials from top stars. Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos has been writing eight- to nine-figure checks to recruit the biggest names in the field — from Chris Rock (who scored $20 million per special) and Jerry Seinfeld to Dave Chappelle and Amy Schumer.

Martin's and Short's tour runs through October and their special bows on Netflix May 25. Check out Short promoting the tour on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, below.
