Steve Pink is headed for CMT.

The writer-director whose credits include Hot Tub Time Machine, High Fidelity and Grosse Pointe Blank will helm the Viacom-owned cable network's hourlong comedic pilot His Wives & Daughters.

The project centers on the wives and daughters of larger-than-life country music legend and infamous womanizer Eddie Ray Banks (Jeff Kober). The pilot starts when Eddie's estranged family is brought together unexpectedly, causing tempers to flare and old rivalries to resurface, setting the stage for startling secrets to emerge as an unforgettable mystery begins to unfold. Jane Seymour, Gail O'Grady, Tyler Hilton, Kurt Fuller, Maria Canals-Barrera, Molly McCook, Christina Moore and Talia Tabin star.

His Wives & Daughters is written, created and co-executive produced by Dina Chapman and Steve Sessions; CMT's Jayson Dinsmore and Julia Silverton oversee for the cabler.

"I’m thrilled to be a part of this project,” Pink said Tuesday in a statement. “The creators, Dina and Steve, have written a great script. The elements of comedy and mystery were really appealing to me as well as working with the hilarious ensemble of six women from multiple generations.”

Pink is repped by Mosaic.
