Stockard Channing to Star in NBC Comedy Pilot 'Me & Mean Margaret'
Stockard Channing is ready to get mean for NBC.
The West Wing and Grease alum has been tapped to star in the network's comedy pilot Me & Mean Margaret.
The project is an unlikely buddy comedy that follows a fiercely candid and often offensive legendary actress and the ambitious 27-year-old lawyer forced to babysit her. Channing will play the acting legend, Margaret.
The role marks Channing's return to series-regular work following recurring roles on CBS' The Good Wife and NBC's The Mysteries of Laura.
Written by Adam Barr (Will & Grace), the Universal Television multicamera comedy is executive produced by Chernin Entertainment's Peter Chernin and Barr.
Channing's credits include her Oscar-nominated role in Six Degrees of Separation as well as Emmy noms for Out of Practice, The West Wing, The Matthew Shepard Story and more. She is repped by Paradigm, Anonymous Content and Markham Froggat.
