'Survivor': The One-Stop Shop for All Things Season 35

The Castaways

For the next season of Survivor, a group of 18 men and women are shipping out to Fiji with their eyes firmly on the million dollar prize. The castaways have been divided into three tribes of six, based on positive qualities bestowed upon them by others. Host Jeff Probst tells THR the theme was decided upon shortly after finding "a football hero, a doctor, a nurse practitioner, a bellhop and a fisher" through the casting process.

He continues: "I just kept looking at the cards and trying to figure out what it was, and 'healer' was the word that really broke it. You could see 'heroes,' and you could see 'hustlers.' Finding the 'h' word, that came later. 'Healers' was the one that broke it. We pitched it to CBS, but they wanted the name to ring. You go, 'Oh, god. Okay. I get it.' Once we finally went, 'Heroes and Healers and Hustlers,' then we had it."

With the Triple H moniker in place, let's start digging deep into the season's contestants.

For the 35th edition of Survivor, the CBS reality competition has returned to Fiji, with 18 brand-new players divided into three tribes based on positive qualities bestowed upon them by others: the Heroes, Healers and Hustlers. The group includes an NFL player, a former Marine, a urologist, a physical therapist, a celebrity assistant and a fisherman, among other occupations, and we spoke with them all during our trip out to the show's shooting location earlier this year.

If you're looking to dive deep into each individual castaway's story and stakes, we have you covered, with features on all 18 of the Heroes, Healers and Hustlers from interviews across the two days before the game began. We also explored the Survivor preseason through "First One Out," a podcast series that investigated the physical, mental and emotional toll involved in preparing for the competition and embarking on this adventure, only to lose after three days in the game.

All season long, we'll be bringing you exit interviews with the castaways as they come off the show, weekly conversations with executive producer and host Jeff Probst, and recaps from THR's very own Dan Fienberg. We'll update this page with those stories as soon as they're released. In other words, consider this page your one-stop shop for all things Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
