TBS is adding another pilot to its mix.

Following the cancellations of Men at Work and Sullivan & Son — as well as the final season of Cougar Town — the Turner-owned cable network has ordered comedy Quality Time to pilot.

From Broken Lizard — the writers and producers behind cult films including Super Troopers and BeerfestQuality Time centers on four college friends who kept their sophomoric ways in suspended animation throughout their 20s and are now succumbing to reproduction. It's an "untraditional" fatherhood comedy about the constant push and pull between the dudes they used to be and the men they are attempting to be. Each week, viewers will be dropped into a new and uncensored adventure with Broken Lizard's Paul Soter, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme and Erik Stolhanske squarely in the middle of chaos.

The comedy was inspired by the Broken Lizard gang who themselves have grown up, gotten married and had children. Soter, Heffernan, Lemme and Stolhanske will write and executive produce the pilot, which is a co-production with Entertainment One and TBS. eOne's Michael Rosenberg, John Morayniss, Steven Amato and Michael Wallen also will exec produce. Soter will direct the pilot. The Broken Lizard crew will portray the four college friends.

For TBS, Quality Time marks the first pilot order handed out since Kevin Reilly took over as president of the network and drama sibling TNT, though it was in the works long before he accepted the top job. It brings to three the number of comedy pilots in the works at TBS, joining Jason Jones' and Samantha Bee's family comedy anthology and Lost parody, Wrecked.

Reilly is said to be looking for edgier and noisier fare in a bid to help both networks stand out in the increasingly competitive scripted landscape.

Should Quality Time earn a series order, it would join a comedy roster at TBS that includes Ground Floor, American Dad, Tribeca, Your Family or Mine and Buzzy's. Of those, only Fox import American Dad and Ground Floor have aired on the network as TBS is in the midst of a programming turnover.
