Amazon's The Boys spent a second week in Nielsen's streaming top 10 for the week of Sept. 7, one week after helping break Netflix's monopoly on the rankings. Cobra Kai remained No. 1, and 1990s sitcom Sister, Sister cracked the top 10 after making its Netflix debut.

The Boys dropped one spot in the rankings, from third to fourth, but Amazon Prime Video users actually spent more time watching it — 1.06 billion minutes, per Nielsen — than in the previous week. The Sony-produced show's second season premiered Sept. 4 with three episodes, and the fourth debuted on Sept. 11.

Netflix's Away, which also premiered Sept. 4, made a big jump as well, moving from seventh to second and more than doubling its minutes viewed to 1.37 billion for its first full week of release.

Cobra Kai, also from Sony, spent its second week at the top of the rankings, with 1.66 billion minutes viewed (down some from the previous frame). The former YouTube series has broken out since migrating to Netflix, and it's been rewarded with a renewal through season four.

Each of the four most watched shows — Netflix's Lucifer is third — are original series, marking the first time originals have occupied the top four in the brief history of Nielsen's rankings.

Sister, Sister, which hit Netflix on Sept. 1, is the only new entrant in the top 10. The sitcom starring Tia and Tamera Mowry originally ran from 1994-99 on ABC and The WB. It ranked 10th for the week, with Netflix users watching 432 million minutes.

Disney+'s movie Mulan, which made the top 10 for its opening weekend, fell out in the week of Sept. 7-13.

Streamers contend that Nielsen data doesn't offer a complete picture of viewership for its programming, since it measures TV-set viewing only and doesn't count viewers in other countries. Netflix releases limited data on its content and uses a "view" metric that counts subscriber accounts watching at least two minutes of a show or movie — more akin to measurement on YouTube (30 seconds) and other online video. Amazon and Disney+ don't release viewer figures.
