MTV is getting into the Jill Soloway business.

The network is teaming with the Transparent creator and Upright Citizens Brigade alums Ashley Skidmore and Lyle Friedman for a feminism comedy, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The untitled comedy centers on two young girls who meet at summer camp and bond over their passion for second-wave feminism. During a wild night in the forest, both girls are struck by lightning and their friendship, power and destiny is fatefully sealed. Now, 10 years later, they romp around town hell-bent on saving all of womankind — if only they could save themselves first.

Skidmore and Friedman, who created and star in popular web series #HotMessMoves, will pen the script and exec produce alongside Soloway. The duo are currently staff writers on Darren Starr's upcoming TV Land comedy, Younger.

"Lyle and Ashley have a magical ability to tap into the female psyche, and through their own special brand of truth and humor they absolve us of our most humiliating moments," Soloway said. "I’m so excited to godmother this show and bring Lyle and Ashley’s fresh take on lady power to MTV."

For Soloway, the news comes after Amazon's Transparent — a half-hour series about a transgender father who comes out to his adult children — took home the Golden Globe award for best comedy — and for star Jeffrey Tambor.

"We are thrilled to be in business with the incredibly talented Jill Solloway. When she and Brillstein Entertainment introduced us to Lyle and Ashley and shared with us this fresh and funny take on a female comedy — we knew we had to be in business with this dream team," MTV senior vp and head of scripted Mina Lefevre said.

For MTV, the untitled Skidmore-Friedman comedy comes as the Viacom-owned network is in need of additional half hours. It is poised to part with scripted comedy Awkward after its fifth and final season and also recently axed comedy Happyland after one season. Its roster of scripted comedies also includes Faking It. On the drama side, MTV's roster includes Finding Carter, Teen Wolf, Eye Candy, Shannara and Scream
