Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong Fly Together in 'Tuca & Bertie' Trailer

Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong are wing women in Netflix's Tuca & Bertie.

The animated comedy series, which released a trailer on Thursday, is about the friendship between two 30-year-old bird women who live in the same apartment building: Tuca (Haddish), a cocky, carefree toucan; and Bertie (Wong), an anxious, daydreaming songbird — "two ride-or-fly BFFs winging it together."

The trailer shows Tuca and Bertie — the latter of which has begun to live with a male bird (Steven Yeun) — looking to reclaim the adventures they used to have together. The best friends experience all kinds of shenanigans, including teaming up as they fend off sexual harassment, as they enter this new phase in life: their 30s.

The 10-episode first season will be released May 3 after a world premiere at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival in New York on May 1.

The cast boasts a revolving door of guest stars: Nicole Byer, Richard E. Grant, John Early, Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro, Amber Ruffin, Jermaine Fowler and Tessa Thompson.

Tuca & Bertie joins an expanding animated roster at Netflix that includes BoJack Horseman, F Is for Family, Castlevania and Big Mouth. The anticipated series comes from the team behind BoJack Horseman: Lisa Hanawalt created the series and is an executive producer alongside Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen. Haddish and Wong are also executive producers.

Tuca & Bertie is produced by Michael Eisner's The Tornante Company, with animation by ShadowMachine.
