More promising news for 911: The new Fox drama, which won the night in its Jan. 3 debut, perked up quite a bit in initial time-shifting.

Ryan Murphy's high-class procedural climbed 50 percent among adults 18-49, averaging a 2.7 rating with live-plus-3 Nielsen adds. That number means it tied Modern Family as the week's highest-rated series in the key demo.

Multiplatform adds put the premiere haul at 10.5 million viewers, a number aided by an atypically strong showing on streaming platforms. Between the Fox platform and Hulu, the premiere brought in more than 700,000 streaming viewers — the most for a Fox drama premiere since Gotham in 2014.

911 airs its second episode on Wednesday.
