TV Ratings: ABC Comedies and NBC's 'Laura' Fall on Wednesday

Scripted sees drops across the board — despite the absence of 'Empire.'

With Empire out of the picture, CBS swiped the first Wednesday win from Fox since the top of 2015. The trio of Survivor (2.2 rating adults 18-49), Criminal Minds (2.0 adults) and CSI: Cyber (1.4 adults) all held steady with their latest showings.

Over on Fox, American Idol was in line with last week's two-hour live outing on Thursday — averaging a 1.7 rating among adults 18-49. But that marked a steep drop from its last one-hour Wednesday effort, when it pulled a 2.4 rating partnered with Empire.
