TV Ratings: ABC's 'Good Doctor' Tops 'The Voice' And All of Monday
A true force to be reckoned with, ABC's The Good Doctor upped its bragging rights on Monday night and topped all other broadcast series — including NBC's The Voice.
The freshman medical drama, which ranked as the most-watched show in all of TV for its most recent live-plus-7 returns, inched up on Monday for an average 2.0 rating among adults 18-49 and 10.9 million viewers. Each of those numbers were enough to lead broadcast for the night, on the heels of an improved Dancing With the Stars. The reality competition averaged a 1.5 rating in the key demo.
ABC also scored an overall demo win on Monday, a rare win over NBC. The latter saw The Voice dip down to a 1.9 rating in the key demo, narrowly missing The Good Doctor in early numbers, while The Brave came in with just a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49. That marks a new same-day low for the underperforming first-year drama.
Kevin Can Wait shifted to 8 p.m. on CBS, as The Big Bang Theory returns to Thursdays later this week. The Kevin James starrer retained its recent 1.2 rating in the key demo, but the network took a big hit without its flagship on the night. Subsequent efforts suffered, with 9JKL and the return of Superior Donuts pulling just a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49, and Me, Myself & I and Scorpion slipping to a 0.7 rating.
On Fox, Lucifer (0.8 adults) and The Gifted (1.1 adults) held, and, it should be noted, outperformed CBS in the key demo.
The CW aired flat episodes of Supergirl (0.5 adults) and Valor (0.2 adults).
