American Ninja Warrior received a nom in 2016 and is back in the swing of things this year.

It was the battle of the unscripted series on Labor Day on broadcast TV.

After falling second to Bachelor in Paradise the last three weeks, American Ninja Warrior claimed its first victory of the season with a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49.

That made it the top show of the night and also helped NBC edge out ABC as the No. 1 network of the night. On the latter, Bachelor in Paradise fell three-tenths to a 1.3 rating.

Elsewhere on NBC, scripted drama Midnight, Texas (0.8 adults) was flat.

So You Think You Can Dance (0.6 adults) was steady for Fox.
