NBC tops the night with a particularly strong outing for 'America's Got Talent.'

Summer programming may be nearing its end, but the marquee shows are suffering no lack of steam.

America's Got Talent, inching up from the prior Tuesday, scored a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49 and 12 million viewers between 8 and 10 o'clock. The robust reality show again aided freshman Better Late Than Never. In its second outing, the docuseries held its premiere score of a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49.

ABC pulled No. 2 status with a flat Bachelor in Paradise (1.4 adults) and a lift for talker After Paradise. The episode, which revealed the identity of the franchise's next Bachelor, jumped nearly 30 percent to a 0.9 rating in the key demo.

That helped it beat out CBS' Zoo (0.7 adult) and CW's MadTV (0.3 adults) during the night's most crowded hour.
