TV Ratings: 'Big Brother,' 'Big Bang' Repeat and Olympic Trials Top Thursday

The Big Bang Theory Still H 2016

A repeat of a nine-year-old sitcom drew a bigger audience than anything on TV Thursday — and that includes eight original telecasts on broadcast.

Not that it should come as much surprise, but The Big Bang Theory's 7-million-strong audience easily topped everything last night. It lost the demo crown to CBS neighbor Big Brother. That averaged an even 1.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 5.8 million viewers for the network.

NBC saw more U.S. Olympic trials (swimming) take a 1.2 rating in the key demo before an improved Spartan (1.0 adults) and a flat Aquarius (0.4 adults).

A steady BattleBots brought a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 on ABC before the premiere of Greatest Hits. The music show netted a solid 1.1 rating in the key demo. On Fox, Home Free fetched a 0.5 rating among adults 18-49.
