TV Ratings: 'Dancing With the Stars' Results Show Shrinks but Bolsters 'Body of Proof'

Down 30 percent from last spring's Tuesday premiere, the ABC competition series still manages to drive the Dana Delany procedural back to its fall numbers, while CBS tops the night in the demo and viewers.

CBS topped the broadcast networks among viewers 18-49 on Tuesday night with an original slate of NCIS, NCIS: LA and Unforgettable. NCIS was steady with the previous week's 3.4 in the demo, while NCIS: LA was up a tenth of a point for a 2.9. Unforgettable dipped a tenth for a 2.0. Altogether, the network pulled a 2.3 rating with adults 18-49 and 14.5 million viewers.

ABC's Dancing With the Stars debuted its results show after an hour of performance highlights. The broadcast was down 30 percent from last spring's premiere for a 3.0 among adults 18-49. Body of Proof saw a 50 percent jump with its old lead-in, posting a 2.1 in the demo and beating all other 10 p.m. broadcasts. ABC brought in 11.9 million viewers and a 2.3 rating in adults 18-49.

NBC edged Fox for third in the demo, grabbing a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49 for the night, despite 17 percent drops with both The Biggest Loser and Fashion Star. Facing a full lineup of original competition for the first time, Fashion Star pulled a 1.5 rating in the demo after Biggest Loser's soft 1.9. The network averaged 5.1 million viewers.

Replacing I Hate My Teenage Daughter with an encore of Raising Hope, Fox's Tuesday pulled a 1.7 among adults 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers. An original Raising Hope was down 6 percent to a 1.5 in the demo, and New Girl dropped 7 percent for a season-low 2.5. Breaking In actually posted 8 percent growth among adults 18-49 with a 1.4 rating.

On The CW, 90210 and Ringer were both even with last week's 18-49 showing, a 0.7 and 0.5 rating respectively.
