TV Ratings: Dominant 'Ninja Warrior' Rises, 'The Whispers' Enjoys Fair Premiere

Lily Rabe The Whispers - H 2015

Recovering from last week's Memorial Day dip, The Bachelorette helped give ABC a Monday win. The two-hour show was up three-tenths of a point from last week, leading into the premiere of summer drama The Whispers. The latter, averaging a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49, opened in better shape than ABC's last summer serial. (Mistresses launched with a 1.2 rating in the key demo back in 2013.)

American Ninja Warrior was the night's top broadcast. Up two-tenths of a point to a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49, it topped the key demo and scored a preliminary best in total viewers (6.8 million viewers). The Island (1.2 adults) held fast with last week's episode.

Fox launched the 12th season of So You Think You Can Dance — now airing on Mondays — with new judge Paula Abdul. The extremely competitive two-hour block saw the competition fall four-tenths of a point from last summer's debut with an average 1.2 rating among adults 18-49.
