Empire rebounded ever so slightly on Wednesday night, winning primetime for Fox.

The drama ticked up to a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49 after experiencing a same-day series low 1.7 rating the previous week. It shared top telecast bragging rights with CBS' Survivor — but with a steady Star (1.2 adults) managed to secure an overall demo victory for Fox.

Elsewhere on CBS, SEAL Team racked up a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49 before a new Criminal Minds (0.9 adults). ABC posted new and steady episodes of its entire Wednesday block, including The Goldbergs (1.5 adults), Speechless (1.1 adults), Modern Family (1.7 adults), American Housewife (1.2 adults) and Designated Survivor (0.7 adults).

NBC again trotted out A Very Pentatonix Christmas. The repeat pulled a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49, followed by more robust showings for Law & Order (1.3 adults) and Chicago P.D. (1.2 adults) — the two both airing originals.

On The CW, Riverdale (0.5 adults) and Dynasty (0.2 adults) both held.
