TV Ratings: Fox Tops Wednesday With 'So You Think You Can Dance'

Fox topped Wednesday with So You Think You Can Dance, but NBC's America's Got Talent was the night's highest-rated program.

The two-hour So You Think You Can Dance (5.9 million, 2.0) improved 5 percent versus last week in total viewers and up 9 percent from the same night last year. The top eight performance show was the highest-rated program in women 18-49 and women 18-34.

NBC's America's Got Talent (10.4 million total viewers, 2.7 rating in adults 18-49 demographic) dominated Wednesday night in the ratings and was the network's bright spot. Minute to Win It (4.7 million, 1.1) dipped 15 percent at 8 p.m. while Love in the Wild (5.1 million, 1.6) rose 7 percent. NBC placed second on the night behind Fox, averaging 6.8 million viewers and a 1.8 rating in primetime.

CBS was third with the latest installment of summer staple Big Brother (6.6 million, 2.3), tying its lowest telecast this season, and reruns of Criminal Minds and CSI.

At 10 p.m., ABC's Primetime Nightline: Beyond Belief (3.5 million, 1.0) rose a tenth.
