Extant shifted to the 9 p.m. time slot on CBS' Wednesday block, seeing little lift from its Big Brother lead-in. The drama averaged a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49, essentially steady with the previous week (0.6 adults). The 8 p.m. reality show, which topped the night for the broadcast nets, came in two-tenths of a point shy of last week's episode for a 1.8 rating in the key demo.

NBC saw the return of Last Comic Standing. The franchise's most watched episode since 2007, with just over 6 million viewers, it was still two-tenths of a point shy of last summer's return with a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49.

Fox debuted its second new reality show in as many days with Home Free. It was in better shape than Knock Knock Live, though it still only pulled a 0.9 rating in the key demo. Lead-in MasterChef was steady with a 1.4 rating.
