TV Ratings: 'Mike & Molly' Holds, 'State of Affairs' Falls

Described as Scandal meets The West Wing, the drama revolves around a maverick CIA officer who was plucked from the field to become the president's daily briefer, assuming responsibility for targeting America's most critical threats while navigating the unique lifestyle that comes with such a high-powered job.

The fact that it was CBS' lone new offering on Monday night didn't hinder Mike & Molly. The newly returned comedy was steady with its last outing at 8:30 p.m., averaging a 1.7 rating among adults 18-49.

It was the night's highest-rated series across the broadcast networks, with almost all airing repeats. The only other scripted original, NBC's State of Affairs, took a 27 percent hit to reach a live-plus-same-day series low of a 1.1 rating. It was down from its repeat lead-in, another outing of SNL's Christmas clip show.

ABC was steady with another installment of the Great Christmas Light Fight. It pulled a 1.3 rating with adults 18-49.
