TV Ratings: 'All American' Premiere Scores Series High, '911' Returns Strong

The CW's All American opened its third season Monday with its largest first-night audience ever. Fox's 911 franchise also returned to healthy numbers, giving the network its best performance on the night (excluding sports) since last spring.

All American drew a 0.39 rating among adults 18-49 and 1.05 million viewers in the final same-day ratings, both of which are same-day series highs. The show's previous highs were 0.3 in the key ad demo (set several times in its first two seasons, and 884,000 viewers for the season two premiere in October 2019.

The audience for All American was also the largest for The CW in the 8 p.m. Monday time slot since a Batwoman episode — part of the network's DC "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover — in December 2019.

On Fox, 911 premiered to a 1.22 in the 18-49 demographic and 7.19 million viewers, fairly well in line with its same-day averages last season (1.39, 6.86 million). 911: Lone Star followed with a 0.95 in the demo and 6.03 million viewers, on par with last season (1.0 and 5.79 million, excluding its post-NFL premiere in January 2020).

The Bachelor held the adults 18-49 lead in primetime with a season high of 1.39 (up 0.22 from last week) for ABC. It averaged 5 million viewers over its two hours, also up week to week. The Good Doctor is at 0.61 in the demo and 3.97 million viewers.

CBS' The Neighborhood (0.8 in 18-49, 6.09 million viewers) and Bob Hearts Abishola (0.66, 5.55 million) were both above average for the second straight outing. Bull (0.47, 4.68 million), however, lost some viewers from its last airing. NBC's game show lineup averaged 0.57 in adults 18-49 and about 2.87 million viewers, in line with last week.

On cable, an NBA doubleheader on TNT led Monday among adults 18-49, scoring 0.91 and 0.87 ratings. The Rachel Maddow Show ranked first in total viewers with 4.08 million and led MSNBC to the top spot among viewers (3.27 million) on cable in primetime.
