With Rio Olympics breakout Simone Biles competing in her final event on Tuesday, ratings held reasonably steady on NBC.

The network's evening coverage pulled a 16.6 overnight rating among households. Fast Affiliate scores give primetime coverage 23.8 million viewers and a 6.8 rating among adults 18-49 for NBC.

NBC-only coverage of the Summer Games is now at an average 27.5 million viewers and a 15.3 household rating. Live streaming minutes have passed the 2-billion mark.

And while the steady numbers and increased digital views may be good for NBC, the gap with London is now impossible to close — even with lifts from NBCUniversal's cable properties that are also airing the games.

At this point in London 2012, which finished with an average household rating of a 17.5, the games were still averaging more than 32 million viewers.
