Ahead of time zone adjustments, NBC's special outing of pre-season football easily won Sunday night among the broadcast networks — also much improved from last year's Hall of Fame game.

Minnesota's victory over Pittsburgh averaged a preliminary 3.2 rating among adults 18-49, up 28 percent from the comparable outing in 2015. The showdown followed very solid repeat airings of last week's NBC comedy debut, Mr. Robinson.

CBS saw Big Brother improve 11 percent from last week, netting a 2.1 rating among adults 18-49.

ABC was the only other network airing originals. Bachelor in Paradise (1.2 adults) was steady with its Sunday launch last week, and Save My Life: Boston also held with a 0.6 rating in the key demo.
