Tyler Perry maintained the momentum from Tuesday's OWN launch.

After raking in a record 1.77 million viewers for the premiere of drama The Haves and the Have Nots, Wednesday saw Perry's comedy debut Love Thy Neighbor bring in a near-record 1.65 million viewers during the 9 p.m. premiere and 1.8 million viewers at 9:30 p.m.

Among targeted women 25-54, Love Thy Neighbor pulled a 1.4 rating during its premiere broadcast and rose 8 percent in the second half-hour.

The two-night launch follows months of hype that accompanied Perry's exclusive multiyear deal with the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Additionally, Tuesday's The Haves and the Have Nots ranked as one of Tuesday's top 10 telecast in all female demos and was the top non-sports telecast across all of TV with African-American demos.
