Netflix has renewed Ugly Delicious, the food-and-travel show from renowned chef David Chang, for a second season.

Chang, the chef and restaurateur behind the Momofuku culinary empire, announced the pickup via Instagram as he joined his family for Thanksgiving dinner.

The first season of Ugly Delicious launched in February on the streaming service. In each episode, Chang explores a single food item or style of cooking — first-season episodes revolved around pizza, tacos, barbecue and home cooking — and comes at it from multiple angles, from history to culture to the stories of the people who make it.

Chang executive produces the series with filmmaker Morgan Neville (20 Feet from Stardom) — who also directed three season one episodes — Christopher C. Chen, Ben Cotner, Adam Del Deo, Lisa Nishimura, Dara Horenblas and Caryn Capotosto.

Netflix hasn't set a release date for season two.

The streaming giant has built up a sizable library of culinary shows alongside Ugly Delicious. It includes lavish docuseries Chef's Table; food travelogues like Somebody Feed Phil and A Cook Abroad, semi-instructional series a la Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat and Cooked; and competitions like import The Great British Baking Show and originals Nailed It and Final Table.
