United We Fall's fate has been determined.

To little surprise, ABC has opted to cancel the multicamera family comedy after one season. The series, a co-production between Sony Pictures TV and ABC Studios, had a late summer burn-off and wrapped its eight-episode run in August with 3 million same-day total viewers.

The series also launched to poor reviews and currently has a 40 percent and 33 percent score among critics and viewers, respectively, on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series was a surprise pickup last year. Of the seven comedy scripts ABC picked up to pilot, the comedy starring Christina Vidal, Jane Curtin and Will Sasso was the lone multicam to score a series pickup.

The Latinx-Catholic family comedy hailed from Making History grad Julius "Goldy" Sharpe who wrote and exec produced the comedy. Big Bang Theory Emmy nominee Mark Cendrowski directed the pilot.

Of ABC's 2019-20 freshman class, only Mixed-ish and dramas For Life and Stumptown are returning.
