USA Network's Dig event series has added three key players.

The Unit alum Regina Taylor, David Costabile and Omar Metwally (Non-Stop) have joined in recurring roles in the six-episode drama led by Jason Isaacs and Anne Heche, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Dig, from Universal Cable Productions, explores the world of Peter (Isaacs), an FBI agent stationed in Jerusalem who, while investigating the murder of an archeologist, uncovers a conspiracy 2,000 years in the making that threatens to change the course of history. The series was developed by Keshet, in association with BermanBraun.

Taylor will play Ruth Ridell, the U.S. ambassador to Israel who has little time for problems that Peter creates for her with the local authorities. A stately and hard-charging woman, Ridell also takes Lynn (Heche) to task for her relationship with Peter.

Costabile, who recurred on Suits, has been cast as Ted Billingham, a coiffed, charming and authoritative best-selling author of religious books that have made him a TV personality and celebrity. This status has given him the access and funds to build a discreet religious congregation with a global agenda.

Metwally will portray Yussef Khalid, an American who disappeared after being accused of murder. Now believed to be in Israel, Yussef is sought by Peter and Israeli Police Detective Golan Cohen (Ori Pfeffer).

Alison Sudol, also known by her stage name A Fine Frenzy, also stars.

Dig will film on location in Jerusalem, as well as other international locales. It will premiere in the fall.

Gail Berman, Lloyd Braun and Gene Stein will serve as executive producers, along with Kring and Raff. British director S.J. Clarkson (Hunted, Whitechapel) will direct the first episode.

Taylor is repped by Innovative Artists and Shelter Entertainment. Costabile is repped by Innovative Artists and Gartner/Green Entertainment. Metwally is repped by Innovative Artists and Schiff Company.
