Craig Ferguson and Drew Carey are planning a switcheroo for April Fools' Day.

Ferguson will take over as host of The Price Is Right, while Carey will lead The Late Late Show on April 1 at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. PT and 12:37 a.m. ET/PT, respectively. The two CBS counterparts announced their grand plan on Monday's episode of The Late Late Show.

"Hey, Craig Ferguson and I, for April Fools', are switching jobs. He's going to host The Price Is Right and I'm gonna host The Late Late Show," Carey said. Added Ferguson: "Now this is for April Fools', so don't tell anyone!"

For Carey's stint as Late Late Show host, he will interview Carl Reiner, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Connie Schultz and Joan Jett, who will perform "Any Weather" with The Blackhearts. Announcer George Gray and Price Is Right models Rachel Reynolds, Amber Lancaster and Manuela Arbelaez will join Carey in his p.m. gig.

For Ferguson's part, he will be only the fourth person to host The Price Is Right (Carey, Bob Barker and Dennis James are the others). He will bring over his sidekicks, the skeleton Geoff Peterson and pantomime horse Secretariat, who will be models.
