'The Flash': Felicity Visits Barry's Central City Digs for the First Time (Exclusive)
Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) is going from Starling City to Central City.
In the latest Arrow crossover, everyone's favorite tech wiz finally drops by The Flash on Tuesday to see Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) new superhuman abilities after hearing about them from afar. Last week's Arrow, in fact, featured a brief moment with Felicity stealthily reading up on the Red Streak at her computer. (Continuity!)
When Felicity and Barry reunite in Central City, they have a lot of catching up to do. (Her entrance "does complicate things for Barry," Gustin said. That double date and kiss sure does qualify.) It's public knowledge that Felicity had been keeping tabs on Barry's condition throughout his nine-month coma, even visiting him at the hospital several times. And last the two friends saw each other, there was a clear romantic connection. Their flirty banter doesn't go away when Barry brings her to STAR Labs in this exclusive clip The Hollywood Reporter premieres.
If you want to impress someone like Felicity, who's a bona fide genius, drop her into a slick tech lair. "Check this out, we've got our own satellite," Barry says, showing her around STAR Labs HQ. "I know, I've hacked into it from time to time," Felicity says in awe, as she meets Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) again. (The two appeared on season two of Arrow.) How does Barry respond? Simple: "Rude!"
But when Barry starts to veer into dangerous territory — bringing up Felicity and her Arrow boss — the still-learning superhero nearly gets into major trouble. Thankfully, he's saved by Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). When Harrison meets Felicity for the first time, it's clear he's been tracking her career as well. What is he up to? Watch the scene to find out.
The Flash airs 8 p.m. Tuesdays on The CW.
