'The Good Wife': Watch Diane and Finn Battle Over Cary's Future (Exclusive)
Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry) may be out of jail, but his legal troubles continue to haunt him.
The next episode of The Good Wife sees Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski), the new name partner at Florrick/Agos/Lockhart, facing off against Assistant State's Attorney Finn Polmar (Matthew Goode) in bond court. From the looks of their courtroom battle from this Sunday's episode, which The Hollywood Reporter exclusively debuts, Finn isn't conceding any time soon.
Diane soon discovers that Finn isn't simply asking for a delay in the case, but rather a revocation of Cary's $1.3 million bail — a far more serious matter. That raises red flags for Diane. "What has Mr. Agos ever done to warrant revocation of bail?" she questions. Apparently, the day Cary was released, Trey — the ASA's confidential informant and Bishop's right-hand man — also disappeared, and Kalinda's (Archie Panjabi) involvement doesn't help. "This is Kafka in action!" Diane says unamused.
Cary's realization that he's in this for the long haul sums up his situation to a T: "They're going go get me one way or another."
"What the state’s attorney’s office is doing in terms of the case is going to be a huge part of season six," Czuchry told THR. "You will learn more about Cary and Bishop’s relationship. ... It is less about Cary being in jail and more about him having been arrested."
The Good Wife airs 9 p.m. Sundays on CBS.
