The Unofficial Saved by the Bell Story - H 2014

Just in time for the weekend, Lifetime has released the first five minutes of its behind-the-scenes Saved by the Bell television movie.

The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story, airing Monday, Sept. 1, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, promises to expose the challenges of growing up under public scrutiny while trying to maintain the squeaky-clean image of its characters on- and offscreen. It will also be told from "Dustin Diamond's" point of view, based on the actor's book Behind the Bell.

Dylan Everett (Degrassi: The Next Generation) stars as Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Sam Kindseth (Shameless) as Dustin Diamond, Julian Works (Paranormal Activity) as Mario Lopez, Alyssa Lynch as Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Tiera Skovbye (Supernatural) as Elizabeth Berkley and Taylor Russell McKenzie (Blink) as Lark Voorhies.

The scene, first posted on Lifetime's Facebook page Friday, opens in 1990 Cincinnati with the Saved by the Bell "stars" in a limo unsure of the reception they'll receive. That uncertainty quickly changes when they arrive to a mob of screaming teenage girls with homemade signs. (There's even a car jumper!) Two and a half minutes in, there's even a nod to the classic Zack Morris "time out" gimmick.
