'The Voice' Recap: Blake Shelton Gets a Superstar

Fans of The Voice had an extra reason to celebrate on Tuesday because NBC announced that the show was renewed for a fourth and fifth season.

The coaches of The VoiceBlake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine -- continue building their teams up with 16 contestants each this week during the blind auditions.

Tuesday's show brought one male contestant whose voice is so high-pitched it sounds like a woman's, and a backup singer hoping to embark on a solo career.

Song: "Only Girl in the World"
Coaches Who Turn Their Chairs: Green, Shelton, Aguilera
This singer grew up in Egypt but moved to the U.S. in hopes of more opportunities for women. She chooses to be on Aguilera’s team.

Coaches Who Turn Their Chairs: None
The North Carolina native is a hog farmer — and has a shockingly high voice. “I kinda sound like a girl, but I’m not worried about it,” he says. While the coaches try to convince Levine to turn his chair, no one ends up turning around for him. "I was born with a high voice, I feel you,” Levine says as words of consolation.

Charlie Rey
Song: "Home"
Coaches Who Turn Their Chairs: Shelton, Levine
This handsome guy who works in his dad’s garage is hoping to make it big as a singer. After Shelton points out, “I couldn’t catch your name because these girls won’t stop screaming,” Rey chooses to be on Shelton’s team.

Amanda Brown
Song: "Valerie"
Coaches Who Turn Their Chairs: Green
Amanda Brown grew up singing church music, but expanded her music tastes as she got older. While she previously sang background for artists like Adele, she’s decided to focus on her own career. Brown starts off a little shaky, and Green is the only one who turns his chair, so she ends up on his team.

Yolanda Barber
Song: "Get Here"
Coaches Who Turn Their Chairs: None
This 55-year-old singer once sang on a cruise ship, but now drives a school bus. She isn’t able to get anyone to turn their chairs, unfortunately.

Cassadee Pope
Song: "Torn"
Coaches Who Turn Their Chairs: All four
Is this girl too experienced for the show? Cassadee Pope was the lead singer of Hey Monday, who toured with Fall Out Boy. And Pete Wentz even sends her an encouraging video message. The coaches love her rendition of “Torn,” and get into a heated argument over her. She ends up picking Shelton (who calls her a "superstar"), despite Aguilera and Levine’s fight for her.

Each coach only has a couple spots left on their teams, so next week's episodes will be interesting.
