CBS Films has preemptively picked up the U.S. distribution rights to Ends of the Earth, an action thriller from Derek Lee and Clif Prowse.
The duo wrote and are directing the movie, which is currently shooting in Europe with unknowns in the lead roles.
Earth tells the tale of two friends on a trip through Europe. They encounter what is described as an “impossible phenomenon” that changes their lives. It is described as having elements of Lost Boys and Chronicle.

Chris Ferguson and Zach Lipovsky are producing the film. Telefilm Canada was a co-financier.
IM Global’s Stuart Ford, Automatik’s Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Alliance’s Charles Layton are executive producing.
Verve, which reps the filmmakers, packaged the movie. One factor in CBS Films’ favor was its successful release of the Hammer horror film The Woman in Black earlier this year. The movie, released February 3, made $54 million domestically.
IM Global is handling the sale of international territories at the Cannes Film Festival. Alliance has already picked up territories in Canada, the U.K. and Spain.
