Doctor Who actor David Tennant is attached to star in Bad Samaritan, a thriller to be directed by Dean Devlin, best known as the writer behind Independence Day and Stargate.
Devlin’s Electric Entertainment is behind the project, with Devlin, Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan producing.
The script, by Apt Pupil scribe Brandon Boyce, centers on two young car valets who use their business as a front to burglarize the homes of their unsuspecting patrons. Life is good for these petty thieves until they target the wrong house, changing their lives forever.
Shooting is set to begin later this year in the greater Portland, Ore., area.
Tennant is the British actor who starred on Marvel’s Netflix show Jessica Jones. He also starred on ITV’s crime series Broadchurch.
Electric Entertainment recently established a distribution division and is set to release horror comedy Fear, Inc. and The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, a drama starring Jason Sudeikis, Jessica Biel and Maisie Williams.
