Deborah Ann Woll, Logan Miller and Taylor Russell will star in the thriller The Maze.
The Sony movie will be directed by Insidious: Chapter 4 helmer Adam Robitel. The project is described as in the vein of the 1997 David Fincher film The Game, an elevated psychological thriller about six strangers who find themselves in circumstances beyond their control and must use their wits to survive.
Neal Moritz and Ori Marmur are producing via Original Films. Maria Melnik, a staff writer on the Starz series American Gods, wrote the latest version of the script, while Bragi F. Schut wrote an earlier draft. The project will shoot in South Africa.
Woll plays Karen Page on the series Daredevil, The Defenders and The Punisher. She recently signed on to the indie pic Silver Lake. The former True Blood star is repped by CAA.
Miller was most recently seen in Before I Fall and A Dog’s Purpose. He has the lead role in the upcoming Universal and Blumhouse film Prey, and will also star in YA adaptation Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda with Nick Robinson. The actor’s credits include The Walking Dead, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse and The Stanford Prison Experiment. Miller is repped by Innovative Artists, Primary Wave Entertainment and Hirsch Wallerstein.
Russell is currently shooting Netflix’s upcoming sci-fi series Lost in Space and recently signed on to the indie Hot Air with Steve Coogan and Neve Campbell. She is repped by UTA, Thruline Entertainment, PLAY and Lichter Grossman.
Robitel is the director of the next Insidious film and is repped by CAA, Zero Gravity Management and attorney Robert Szymanski.
