It’s about time … or, at least, it will be on Thursday morning, when Disney debuts the first teaser for Alice Through The Looking Glass, the follow-up to Tim Burton’s 2010 Alice in Wonderland. To tease the teaser, the studio has shared four short videos via social media offering brief glimpses of what lies ahead of Mia Wasikowska as she returns to Lewis Carroll’s fantastical alternate reality.
In addition to Wasikowska, the movie — based on Carroll’s second Alice novel, 1871’s Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There — features Helena Bonham Carter, Rhys Ifans, Anne Hathaway and Johnny Depp, reprising his role as the Mad Hatter.
The movie is directed by The Muppets‘ James Bobin from a script by Linda Woolverton, who wrote the screenplay to the 2010 Wonderland, as well as 2014’s Maleficent. Alice Through The Looking Glass will be released on May 27.
