Edgar Ramirez has joined the cast of Bright, Netflix’s fantasy thriller from director David Ayers and screenwriter Max Landis.
Will Smith, Joel Edgerton and Noomi Rapace, among others, are on the call sheet for the pic about a human (Smith) and an Orc (Edgerton) who must outrun cops, criminals and an assorted coterie of supernatural beings in order to protect a magical wand.
Ramirez will plan an elf named Kandomere, who works for the FBI’s magic division.
Bright is currently shooting in Los Angeles.
Ramirez, repped by CAA, Impression Entertainment and attorney Bob Wallerstein, is coming off a starring turn in true-life boxing drama Hands of Stone and made an appearance in The Girl on the Train. He next stars opposite Matthew McConaughey in The Weinstein Co. drama Gold, which is set to open Dec. 25.
